"If a commission by an earthly king is considered a honor,
how can a commission by a Heavenly King be considered a sacrifice?"
-- David Livingstone, 1813-73, Missionary to Africa
Our team is involved in short-term missionary trips to Jamaica with a focus on Evangelism and Construction by working through, aiding, and assisting the local church and other ministries such as schools and orphanages. Our team is sponsored by the afflication of The Mt. Union Association of General Baptists Foriegn Missions Board, Jamaica Association of General Baptists and General Baptists International.
What is a short-term missionary?
A short-term missionary is someone who serves Jesus by traveling to a foreign land to serve others. Although a short- term mission trip lasts only one week, team members return home praying and trusting that our efforts has made a positive and eternal difference in building the kingdom of God. Warning: short-term mission work will change your life and this work is very contagious.
All Christians are missionaries, called to serve and witness in the name of Jesus. We are all commanded to go and share Godís love and His perfect plan of salvation. We are all servants, living to bring glory to His Name.
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
